WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT TRAINING

Workforce Development Training

Class Description

Workforce Development Training is a practical, hands-on class designed to equip individuals with the skills, tools, and confidence needed to secure and succeed in employment.

In this class, participants will learn how to build a strong, professional resume that stands out to employers and passes modern hiring systems. We’ll cover key elements of resume writing, how to use job-specific keywords, and tools—including AI—that can help improve and refine your resume.

Beyond resumes, this training walks through the full job search process—from where to find opportunities and how to apply effectively, to choosing the right roles and applying with confidence. Participants will also be introduced to local resources in Tucson that provide job training, computer access, and career support.

A major focus of the class is interview preparation. Attendees will learn how to answer common interview questions, communicate clearly, present themselves professionally, and use proven methods like the STAR approach to share their experience effectively.

Additionally, the class covers workplace readiness skills such as emotional intelligence, communication, professionalism, and how to maintain and grow in a job once hired.

This is a supportive, no-pressure environment where participants can gain clarity, build confidence, and take practical next steps toward employment and long-term career growth.

Whether you’re entering the workforce for the first time, returning after time away, or looking for a fresh start, this class will help you move forward with purpose.
